Charity: Greater London Fund for the Blind
|Area of Operation:||Greater London|
|Pledge level:||£2000 including £50 registration fee|
Working hand in hand with a diverse group of local charities, the Greater London Fund for the Blind (GLFB) works across London to eliminate isolation and ensure social, cultural and economic inclusion.
With around 200,000 people impacted by sight loss in London, the requests for specialist support assistance is growing.
Every day 250 people start to lose their sight in the UK.
Whether it is ensuring that a child affected by sight loss can access education; offering employment skills training to a young adult; or funding yoga, cookery, lunch clubs and Zumba classes for an isolated older person; GLFB's aim is to improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people by transforming services and public attitudes.
By running the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2019 for GLFB you will be raising funds for our life-changing programmes for blind and partially sighted people of all ages.
We'll provide all of our runners with a GLFB running vest, alongside information, advice and tips on training and fundraising. Please join Team GLFB 2019 and help us achieve our vision in which every blind and partially sighted Londoner can live their life to the full.
