Ability Bow provides fitness and rehabilitation to help people who have a disability, an injury or a long-term health condition. For many of our users the moment they enter Ability Bow can be a life-changing experience. The impact on their quality of life can be so great that for some it has meant the difference between walking and not. Or, they may simply gain the ability to look after themselves without constant care and support.
Most of the people using our fitness facility have never used a gym before and start off with very low levels of fitness and associated problems such as high blood pressure, back and joint problems. Many other users are recovering from a stroke or have MS or a spinal injury.
Our highly qualified exercise instructors not only provide technical but also moral support for their one-to-one clients. The clients gain greater fitness and mobility which helps to improve their confidence and independence.
Ability Bow's small efficient structure means that the majority of the money you raise will go directly to the people who really need it. Our unique service of providing one-to-one instruction in a friendly and welcoming environment means we make a difference where other organisations can not.
