Global Action Nepal's (GAN) vision is for all children in Nepal to enjoy a quality and equal education.
GAN has been working exclusively in Nepal for two decades to help develop the education system and implement social change. We believe access to education is not the same as simply "going to school" - minimum levels of infrastructure, a child-friendly learning environment, and community involvement are fundamental requirements if children are going to experience a complete education.
Children are at the centre of everything we do, and we aim to provide children in Nepal with the opportunity to learn, receive a quality education, and reach their full potential.
Every day GAN works with children, teachers, parents, local authorities and other partners to enable young people to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities so that they can have the opportunity to create a better future for themselves, their families and for the whole of Nepal. Following the devastating 2015 earthquakes, this is more important than ever before.
We are an efficient, dynamic organisation and by running the London Marathon, you will be help GAN to support our school communities in Nepal further. This can be through areas such as teacher training, classroom improvement, supporting our equal opportunities sports programme, or through community engagement and strengthening. A little goes a long way in our education approach.
