Each year 40,000 expectant mothers are informed that there is a risk that their baby may have a fetal abnormality.
ARC gives expectant parents and their families non-directive information and support around antenatal testing, and when an anomaly is found in their baby – whatever decision is made about the future of the pregnancy, and for as long as it is needed. ARC provides a helpline; a password-protected, moderated Forum; booklets; newsletters, and a volunteer Support Network. ARC also provides training and literature for health professionals so that they are able to do a difficult job better.
Running for ARC will help thousands of expectant and bereaved parents during what may be the most difficult and heartbreaking time of their lives.
